In short
A content creator can sell recommended products from their own online store with dropshipping, or stock-free e-commerce: products stay with the supplier, who ships each order to your customer while you run the store. It can be a separate income channel next to sponsored work. No stock capital is needed, but there is a package fee; signup is free, selling needs a package. Earnings are not guaranteed.

SoonThree things people ask when considering a store
Will I have time for a store besides making content?
The store runs on a few small tasks a day: add a product, check an order. Packing and shipping are the supplier's, so your filming and posting schedule stays put.
I won't offer my followers a product I don't trust
You decide which products go into your store. You don't have to list anything you haven't tried or don't believe in.
The ad-label and tax side looks confusing
Promotional posts come with an "ad" label rule, and a tax certificate matters for marketplaces. You can sort out what applies to you with the questions below and an accountant.
Offer what you recommend in your own store
The store carries your name
Products, voice and prices are yours; your followers shop under a name they already know.
No stock or shipping load
Products stay with the supplier, who packs and ships. No stock capital is needed, but there is a package fee.
You pick the products
Add what suits your audience and remove what draws no interest; nothing is left in storage.
Content only, or content plus your own store?
| Criterion | Content only | Content + own store |
|---|---|---|
| Income source | Collaborations and platform income | Store sales on top of those |
| Where the product is | With a brand or another seller | Products you pick, in your own store |
| Relationship with followers | They watch, like and comment | They buy; you answer orders and questions |
| Extra work | Deal process and delivering content | Adding products and following orders |
| Income | Depends on deals and reach | Depends on sales; no guarantee |

Questions on your mind
Does a store replace making content?
No. The store is an extra channel next to your content; your posts and collaborations carry on as before.
Do I need an "ad" label on promotional posts?
Advertising rules ask for an "ad" or "promotion" label on posts made in return for earnings, discounted products or events (in force from 1 August 2026). When you post about a product from your store, stating clearly that the post is commercial is the sound way. Ask a legal adviser about your own case.
Do I need a tax certificate?
Marketplaces usually ask for a tax certificate; in many cases a sole proprietorship can be enough. If you earn from social media, ask an accountant about your tax position too.
Is it free to start?
Signup is free. You need a package to sell; packages and prices are listed clearly on the site.
Do I pack and ship the products myself?
No. Products stay with the supplier, who ships each order to your customer.
